Threatened & Endangered Species Coordination & Habitat Assessments
Desktop and field evaluation of potential habitat for federal- and state-listed species, with coordination involving the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), as applicable. Services support identification of potential species-related constraints, agency review and consultation, and development of project-specific recommendations to address applicable threatened and endangered species requirements.
Ecological & Vegetation Assessments
Field surveys and evaluation of vegetation, plant communities, and other ecological conditions to support project planning, permitting, and environmental review. Services may include botanical surveys, ecological community characterization, habitat assessments for threatened and endangered plant species, and field support for specialized wildlife studies, including bat surveys.
Riparian Assessments
Technical evaluation of riparian corridors, vegetation, habitat conditions, setbacks, and ecological functions along streams and other aquatic resources to support site planning, development review, and environmental compliance. Assessments can also be prepared to address municipal or other local requirements for riparian setbacks, stream corridors, and natural-resource protection areas.
Tree Inventories & Assessments
Professional inventory and assessment of tree species, size, condition, location, and other relevant characteristics to support development planning, regulatory review, preservation requirements, and management decisions. Tree inventories can also be prepared to address municipal tree ordinances, development standards, and other local plan-review requirements.
Tree Management & Preservation Plans
Development of tree management, preservation, protection, removal, and replacement recommendations to support development projects, regulatory review, and long-term site management. Plans can be prepared to address municipal tree-preservation requirements, replacement standards, development conditions, and other project-specific requirements.
Soil & Vegetation Management Plans
Development of soil and vegetation management recommendations addressing topsoil preservation, soil restoration, vegetation establishment, stabilization, and natural resource protection for construction and land-development projects. Plans can also support applicable Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWP3) requirements and project-specific soil and vegetation management objectives.
GIS Mapping & Environmental Analysis
GIS mapping and spatial analysis to support environmental permitting, regulatory review, site planning, and environmental assessments. Services include project-specific environmental mapping, integration of field and spatial data, and analysis of environmental resources and site constraints.
